You can gain happiness by using self help motivation for doesn’t everyone wish to be happy, yet many struggle to achieve happiness.
Much of this struggle to achieve something that is rightfully yours comes from negativity. From feelings and emotions that nothing ever goes right or that someone else or some situation is to blame. Perhaps you feel you don’t deserve to be happy.
Many people will result to stimulants like drugs, alcohol and certain foods to boost there moral but these can only have a short term effect at best and have negative side effects.
The answer to this struggle is not on the outside but on the inside. We need to look within ourselves to determine why we feel like we do.

Whatever we focus upon is what we will achieve. If you focus upon gloom and doubt and insecurity your life swill be one of gloom and doubt and insecurity. So we need to focus on the positive things that have happened and our happening in our lives. If you look hard you will find them and any time you start to feel negative you can just say “next” and move on.
But how do we change our thoughts? How do we deal with memory?
One very powerful way to do this is to realize that memories by definition are from our past. Some are positive and some negative. Our worries and concerns about future events by definition haven’t happened yet.
Change the way you see your thoughts.
The pictures and images that come to mind when going over memories or thinking about the future are what effect our emotions. Recalling pleasant memories or thinking about pleasant things that we want to happen in the future result in pleasant emotions. If an unpleasant image comes to mind try replacing it with a pleasant image.
Listen to your self-talk.
We are constantly talking to ourselves. If the voice you hear is critical, this will lead to a poor emotional state. Ye can make the choice to be upbeat with your self-talk by using positive words and positive affirmations. The more excitement you use the better you will feel.
Listen to your body.
To think a thought is to act. When we have negative thought it shows in our bodies. We slouch. We walk with hunched shoulder we go about with a look of doom and gloom. The way we act also affect our thoughts, so sit or stand up straight, put a spring in your step and most importantly, smile. When your feeling down, this a sure way to buck yourself up.
Who’s in control?
We have to be in control of ourselves, if we are not then someone else is. It’s not up to someone else to make us feel good. We have to make the decision to feel good.
Give more than you receive.
A sure way of feeling better about ourselves is to give to others. It doesn’t have to cost anything. A smile. A kind word.
Its not easy to feel good when your feeling down but if you make the decision to try, if you will put into effect the methods that you have read here you will become a self motivator and you will be making best use of self help motivation and be on your way to finding happiness.
